Cob: floor

Hi;  I'm Donna and new to the list.  I've recently bought a house that was
built in the 70's and has all kinds of undesirable attributes that I'm
hoping to slowly change.  Right now I'm wondering if I can safely and
effectively put a cob or adobe brick floor in my kitchen on top of a
linoleum floor.  I have concrete footings and a crawl space under that
floor....can't do much about that.  Thanks   dc
