Yea the vault is up. Well, even though I have a few blisters on my hand, I dropped the form on my earth / superadobe/ vault. It took about 66 wheel barrels of earth for the structure (not counting the foundation) It's 4 ft 6 in wide (as measured from the inside walls at the base) It's 8ft 3 in tall (as measured from the inside) The walls are about 14 inches thick (a bit thinner near the top) the depth of the vault at the base is 53 inches and the depth at the hieght is 96 inches. The 53 inches base is centered between the 96 inch deep ceiling. The extra depth at the top is to extend along with the domes walls on either side of this vault. I'm working on adding more butressing as well as a small window seat. I took some photos but it will probably be about 3 weeks or so before I get them on the web site. You know that means I got to go to the city and get the dang film developed then get my brother to scan them....etc. Well heck, just trying to build some excitement.
