Here is a copy of information I provided another inquirer about Ener-Grid
in July that may be of use to you.
.................................................................
If you investigate the Rastra/Ener-Grid product, you will find the
reputed R-35.5 that the company projects was performed by Braun Intertec.
This reputable certified lab repeated the tests before releasing the
report to confirm the numbers. A subsequent test by the Construction
Technology Laboratory found the assembly to yield only an overall R-value
of about R-6 to R-8 (R-1.41 per inch).
You may also wish to perform a little analysis of a sample and let
me know how it performs. Place a sample in an ant pile, near a termite
infested element, etc. and check it over time to determine if insects are
able to infest it with passageways. I've read they cannot, but I believe
that written material was generated by the manufacturer.
Should you wish to contact the company:
          Ener-Grid Building Systems, Inc.
