Based on your experience, how does > the rest of the "tent" sound? Do-able? Effective? > Thanks, and be well! > Michael Blate > Based on my experience....well at the momement I'm still redoing the one sections that fell and I realized something. I am being soooooo carefull now. By studing the failure I experienced I learned a lot but now that that I'm rebuilding the thing (with a redesign as well) I am a bit more conservative about stuctures. In fact I don't plan to have to rebuild any part of this building again. I go ahead and put that extra buttress etc. So just reading your description made me think of pyramids (same kind of thing, just not as many sides as your octagon shape) so based on that I would say it has a good chance. But just keep your eye on the thing as you build. With a bit of analysis you can tell if a structure is going to stand and where the weak points are located. by the way, I'm leaving Saturday to head up to Colorado to climb Mt Holy cross. I'll be back on Thursday of next week. But I'll down load all the messages when I get back. Latter Mountain climbers always rope themsselves together, Probably to prevent the sensible ones from going home.
