Cob Re: How long does cob have to cure?

Hello:
   First, I'd like to thank all of you who contribute your expertise to
this group. I find your enthusiasm for cob and your knowledge of the
process to be encouraging. 

   In the area where we'd like to build, I've not noticed much mud other
than that located in the tidal flats, exposed at low tide. Would that kind
of mud be likely to be suitable for cob?
