Cob mythology - Misha, etc. (slightly off topic)John Schinnerer jschinnerer at seattle.usweb.comTue Mar 17 12:35:54 CST 1998
Aloha, Brief storytelling, just for flavor...:-) -----Original Message----- From: Robert Bolman [SMTP:robtb at efn.org] >Are you talking about Misha Raushwerger (sp?) He's a former CCC intern, >dark curly hair, maybe 30. I last saw him about a year and a half ago. He >was with a woman named Elizabeth and there was no child in sight. Yep, that's the Misha! Ianto tells a story which briefly put goes like this: A woman named Alysheva (pardon if I'm spelling it wrong, I don't have it written down anywhere...) came and took one of their first workshops. She found it quite healing, took five more, and then <Ianto grin> ran off with the apprentice! (...that would be Misha, at the time). Her little boy Iain is in the CCC video - he was 2 1/2 or so then - he's the little kid shown shoveling earth with a tiny shovel, patting cob into place, etc. Last summer he was 5, I think, and quite the precocious little cobber. The three of them were living in a travel trailer with a strawbale & cob foyer while building their cob house. I'm guessing that the "Finishing" course listed as being in "Sierras, CA" is at their place...? John Schinnerer
