Cob heat storageRaduazo Raduazo at aol.comFri Mar 27 20:08:34 CST 1998
The best heat storage material is just plain old water. It is cheap and easily moved from a collection area to a storage area and it is relatively non corrosive. you can't beat it. The only problem is that you need more volume and mass than with faze change materials. The cost differential and hassle of using phase change materials will never make up the difference. The second choice for heat storage is cob and the third choice is stone. If you want to do a computer search of all the latest phase change materials try "uspto.gov" (Advanced Search Page). That is the data base of the U.S. Patent Office. Ed
