Cob Living roofs

does anyone out there have experience with pitches on living roofs, I 
read in the Straw Bale House Book that a 4/12 or even steeper 
pitch may be possible but logic just doesn't seem to let me believe 
it.  Anyone have any good success stories about pitched living roofs?
