Cob -just do it

Sounds GREAT!  I'm just getting started too, out between the Mohave and
Sonoran Deserts, and I'm reading Becky Bee's cob book with pure delight!

well, folks, i'm NEW to the cobweb, and DO plan to 'just do it' -- soon !!!

have a wonderful place, 4 acres, 9-room house (old, stucco -- looks air
lifted out of Taos), on the northern edge of the chihuahuan desert, and old,
25 ft. x 35 ft. garage/shop out back, built of tin -- i'm going to 'cob' the
existing tin walls, re-do the concrete floor, put a new tin roof on it,
build a couple of porches out of pallets and voila, have a 'guest house'

i'll BE the guest in it come next spring, when i start using the big house
as a retreat center for workshops for middle-aged women.

as soon as i get and digest THE book on cob building, i'll start mixing mud
pies and invite all who are interested to come play in the mud with me!
