Cob: Ohio Workshop

Mark Hoberecht of Natural Homesteads will be presenting a Natural Building workshop this summer in
Oberlin, Ohio the weekend of July 21-23, 2000.  The workshop is being sponsored by the Cleveland
Green Building Coalition, and represents a unique opportunity to learn about natural building
design principles while contributing toward the construction of a hybrid straw bale, cob, and
straw/clay building.  It is the first in a series of planned annual workshops to develop the
building infrastructure at the Clark Farm sustainable land-use site.  The workshop will also
include a tour of the recently completed Adam Joseph Lewis Center for Environmental Studies, which
the New York Times designated "the most remarkable of new academic science centers in the
country."
