Cob: new to list

Hello,

My husband and I are new to the list.  We were researching low impact,
inexpensive, building methods and have read a lot about cob.  It sounds
like what we have been looking for.  
Our major concern in building codes.   We live in Washington, USA, Lewis
County to be exact and were wondering if any of you out there have
built, seen or know of any cob structures in this area.  Any information
you could give us would be helpful.
