Cob: rammed earth - bamboo

Cob, once fully cured is as hard as rammed earth too. I know folks who
tried changing a wall after the cob hardened, but took three weeks of
pick axing to knock a hole in it. They were convinced that is was
stable, but here in CA all adobe or RE must be reinforced for earthquake
stabilty.

There is no straw in RE, and the soil is barely damp, not wet, and
ususally stabilized with cement ( or lime).
