Cob: Re: Cob in Colorado??David & Sheila Knapp solar at aeroinc.netThu Jul 19 13:51:11 CDT 2001
Unless one has specific knowledge of it, Colorado is a very large place. We just left WY & CO after 12 days of sightseeing and checking up on our building lot. There are hundreds of fake plywood adobe look-alikes springing up all over, many having the look of strawbale with cob plaster (except for the walls being thinner). We saw many, many cob and strawbale patio/garden walls though (keeping out deer & antelope too). Some of the places "looked" like cob compounds, but you had to look close to see what was underneath for sure. http://www.crestone.org Good Luck on your Quest, Dave _________________________________________________ David & Sheila Knapp Winnebago, Illinois http://www.esolarliving.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Earthship_owner_builders_elist _________________________________________________ ----- Original Message ----- From: <Fyrfalcyn at aol.com> To: <coblist at deatech.com> Sent: Monday, July 16, 2001 10:39 PM Subject: Cob: Cob in Colorado?? > Can anyone put me in touch with the group in Colorado that built a cob > "compound" A ranchhand told me about it, but he can't remember exactly where > it was...
