Cob: Re: foundation idea

I am building some Cob seating near my pond and would like to do it with out
building a shelter above. I live in the upstate NY area and was wondering
about Cob coatings to help it last in the rain and snow weather.
Also anyone have pictures of Cob seating they have made they could send me-I
love to be inspired by others.

Also is there a specific ratio of Soil(clay)/sand/straw that I can start
with and find the happy balance?
