Hi W,
I attended the Gaviotas conference a few weeks ago, and am involved in
Friends of Gaviotas activity now in the Bay Area. The book would be a good
start, Gaviotas by Alan Weisman, and here is a website with a little info.

Paulo hasn't much faith in the Internet so hasn't devoted any time to
developing a website, however others, including we "Friends..." are doing
what we can. There will be a discussion list which will be announced to most
of these lists.
Glad there is some interest. The main hitch in promoting it or visiting, is
the terrible political situation in Columbia.
