[Cob] Buying bulk woolPeter Kaulback pkaulbak at idirect.caThu Nov 27 06:37:47 PST 2003
You should check with local sheep farming groups as you want basic wool not wool for spinning/weaving etc. Usually some of the best bets are with local shearers as they are sometimes the collection points for wool from the meat breeds. Check with the wool co-ops in your area. Some are here: http://www.midstateswoolgrowers.com/ http://www.wool.ca/ Peter Kaulback In the hour of 09:53 AM 11/23/2003, Clint Popetz spoke this: >Hi, > > I just finished a cob greenhouse, and need to insulate the >roof. I'd like to use wool, but as winter is just starting, no one >(around here) is shearing :) Does anyone have a good resource for >bulk wool? It doesn't need to be cleaned or carded. Also, does >anyone have numbers on density, so I can calculate coverage when >buying by the pound? I seem to remember around 1.5 pounds/ft3, but I >can't remember where I read that. > > Thanks, > -Clint > >_______________________________________________ >Coblist mailing list >Coblist at deatech.com >http://www.deatech.com/mailman/listinfo/coblist
