The coalition will be working on a "cobwood" house this spring (that is cordwood with cob mortar). I'll let you know how it goes.

Jack Henstridge is one of the "grand-daddies"  of cordwood building and his <br>recipe for mortar mix is as follows:  1 measure of portland cement, 2 <br>measures of sawdust, 3 measures of sand and gravel.  Perhaps it would work <br>to replace the portland with hydrated lime, and use the sand and clay <br>instead of the sand and gravel.
