One of those sturdy ceramic pipes, such as those used
long ago in sewers (some cities still require this for
the main connection) would probably give you long
useful life. Heat radiation is a function of
temperature and it should perform well. Those of you
who have had the pleasure of using real earthen
crockery for cooking stews and other foods would
recognize the nice even heating they provide.

Endurance to hot temperatures is one of the good
qualities of ceramic materials. Additionally, it
will not rust (iron oxidization) and has less heat
expansion/contraction that breaks metal pipes down
over time.

Just a thought for you all.
