[Cob] cobbing in the South

I've played some with pine needles. I would not consider it a good
options. I use wheat straw. Sticks to cob much better, pine needles are
somewhat slick, plus not a joy to work with.

Fellow southern, I've got lots of pine straw too , builder

They do make starting fires easier!

We have concerns over pine needles providing near the same tensile
strength as straw, but as a local source readily available and pretty
much free, seems worth considering.
