[Cob] Help finding a place to build

Hello all,

After many years of planning my family and I are ready to build our natural cob home. We have spent the last 15 years living with relatives in Sebastopol, Ca. Well, as in many cases, real estate prices have made it virtually impossible for us to find any land in the area we can afford so we are on the hunt for a new place to live! We are open to anything north of where we are currently, which is about an hour north of San Francisco, CA. We would like to stay in the pacific coastal ranges as we absolutley love the large conifers and weather of the pacific northwest.

So our question is: does anyone know of any acreage for sale or able to recommend "cob friendly" communities between San Francisco and Seattle? We are looking for no less than 5-10+ acres with plenty of trees and of course good clay soil . We might even consider partnerships if the circumstances are right. Any comments or recommendations would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Dan, Krystal and Trystan Bliss

P.S. I may have met some of you at the 2004 cob cottage co. workshop in Santa Barbara, if so, hope all is well!
