[Cob] Cob Oven Question

Has anyone used slip to coat the inside of a cob oven?

I still get some sand crumbles falling into quick breads and such, and I was 
wondering about using slip to cover the inside of the dome.

Would low-firing slip make a more permanent inner wall, or would it crumble 
too?
