[Cob] Cob in old West-observation MY favorite is The New World about the landing of Captain John Smith &sailors on American shores a 14 year old NZ girl played the lead as a 16 yr old she was great... when they get to the "camp" set up by the men you can see wattle and daub, cob, thatched type roofs, all from the English methods. I have recommended this to people about basic W&D building Movie quote- "The finest American movie of the year—the finest, indeed, of many a year—is Terrence Malick's fourth feature, The New World. It takes America's first mythic story—the encounter between Jamestown pioneer Captain John Smith (Colin Farrell) and the Indian maiden Pocahontas (an astonishing performance by 14-year-old newcomer Q'Orianka Kilcher) in 1607—and renders it both ancient and modern. ." a few other movies like Kingdom of Heaven show amazing earthen and middle eastern adobe and domes, plus lots of trebouchet action ( that flinger of burning stones) -- Ms. Charmaine Taylor/ Taylor Publishing Toll Free Order: 1-888-441-1632 www.dirtcheapbuilder.com www. papercrete.com PO Box 375, Cutten CA 95534
