This approach is documented in a number of places relating to historical 
cob, not having the traditional kind of farm animals for mixing handy, I 
never considered it, hadn't thought about sheep though . . . 
unfortunately, my brother sold his sheep, I'll have to wait and see if he 
replaces them with anything useful I can "borrow" :-)
