Mia,
I ran across a gigantic book at our library in Pickens County,
Georgia, US. We're part of the "limestone valley" which is 3-4
counties long and the book was from, I think, the U.S. Geological
Survey. It had all sorts of different info pertaining to rock
formation and also soils. There were precise maps in it which showed
exactly where and what type of soil there was in these counties, even
had how deep it was and what kind of vegetation grew on site. It has
everything you could possibly ever want to know about soil. So, to
everyone; try your local library.
