[Cob] linseed oiljohn fordice otherfish at comcast.netThu Jul 22 13:07:32 CDT 2010
Tys, The only thing I know about boiled vs raw linseed oil is that raw tends to remain sticky when it dries. Other than that, a cob sample mixed with boiled (in the mix, not topical as in a surface treatment) has dried with no stickiness and has weathered repeated rain exposure with essentially no erosion. john fordice On Jul 22, 2010, at 10:14 AM, Tys Sniffen wrote: > Anyone have brand/store recommendations for linseed oil for floors? > > > > I know about the additives that create the 'boiled' vs raw, but I > can't > really find good comparisons between the 'truly boiled' and > 'chemically > boiled' oils. has anyone actually found the additives to be a > problem?
