[Cob] Learn cob building techniques while helping pollinatorslkuder at umd.edu lkuder at umd.eduSat Aug 1 15:37:58 CDT 2015
Volunteers needed! As part of an outreach program to raise awareness about pollinators, UMD's Entomology Dept. is sponsoring the building of a cob bee habitat wall. It will provide nesting sites for many species of non-aggressive wild bees and beneficial wasps. Experienced folk would be greatly appreciated but this is also a great learning opportunity for newbies, as experienced cobbler Ed Raduazo is teaching volunteers how to mix and utilize quality cob and recycled materials to create basic structures. Where: University of Maryland - College Park at the Arboretum Outreach Center When: 8/3 - 8/7 from 8 AM - 7 PM If interested, please contact Lisa Kuder for more details.
