Cob Northeast USA cobbers??

Hi I'm new to the list and have been reading the archives, I'm
fascinated to know how people's projects have turned out. Can anyone
tell me are there any cobbers in the Northeast US?, New York, Mass.
Maine etc.?

Also how does one find out where there are no building codes or where
building codes permit this kind of construction? Is it mostly in the
West or southwest? Any help is appreciated.
