Well, it took me more bit but I finally made my test bricks of pine and 
wheat straw. 

They are still wet, but from making the bricks, I'd say that the wheat 
is much better.

1. Pine straw was much harding on the hands due to poking and the 
sharpness of the needles.

2. the pine straw resist all water and thus the mud does not adhear to 
the pine straw as well as with the wheat straw.
