Hi Everybody,
Taking my slideshow, "Natural Building & Social Justice" into California has been very, very successful. Everywhere I went, people seemed to love it. People often specifically thanked me for including social and economic issues which serve to round out what is otherwise a rather broad overview of natural building with a sprinkling of appropriate technology and permaculture.
One development that is rather exciting for me is that, thanks to the efforts and generosity of various event organizers, I actually started making enough money on this tour that I now know that I can set up a much more ambitious tour and not go broke doing it. I'm thinking of a tour back through California and then into the southwest. I'll devote a subsequent post to my upcoming tour, but meanwhile.....
I want to thank the organizers of various events without whose hard work many hundreds of people would not have been exposed to my presentation and to natural building generally. Many thanks to:
Timonie Hood at the EPA offices in San Francisco
Barbara of the Green Party in Modesto
Bob & Open Secret Bookstore in San Rafael
David Baker of New College in Santa Rosa
Selene Vega & Frank de Winter of the Environmentl Council in Santa Cruz
The Patagonia Store in Santa Cruz
Bob Banner of Hopedance Magazine in San Luis Obispo
Wes Roe & Margie Bushman of the South Coast Permaculture Guild in Santa Barbara
Oscar of the Community Environmental Council Gildea Resource Center in Santa Barbara
David White of the Ojai Permaculture Guild in Ojai
Suza Francina, Mayor pro tem of Ojai
Lois Arkin of the L. A. Eco Vilage in Los Angeles
Stephanie Cranney of the Steinburg Architecture Group in San Jose
Dan Antonioli of San Francisco
Trena Cleland of Berkeley
Thank you all VERY much!!!
