Cob: Building in Shasta County CA.

Hey there,

I have recently acquired some land in the hills outside of Redding CA.

I am very interested in building with Cob first and straw bale as a 
second choice. I was wondering if anyone on this list is able to put 
me in touch with someone who has successfully built with cob in the 
northern California area. I imagine meeting codes and acquiring a 
permit in Shasta County will be a challenge.

I'd be grateful for any leads you could provide.
