Stonework/Bodywork
Four Weeks of Natural Stonework and Bodywork On Cortes Island May 14 to June 8
In four, weeklong courses, Jim Hossack, a seasoned stoneworker, will be teaching about building natural stone foundations and aesthetic stonewalls and chimneys.
Jim Hossack
Jim is a self-taught stoneworker from Scotland. Moving to Switzerland as a young man, it was in the Swiss Alps that he developed his interests and skills as a stoneworker. Jim came to Canada ten years ago, and in that time has gained a reputation for his unique stile of work around Courtenay and the Gulf Islands. He has designed and built for many private residences and commercial spaces, with one of his more recent projects being the foundation for the new Hollyhock building on Cortes Island.
