Cob: Dry Walls

Has anyone else seen the article on page 37 of the May issue of Popular 
Science?  It shows a system using a small elctric current to draw water out 
of concrete walls and into the soil a few feet away.  Think it might work 
with cob?  Seems like the basic priciple would still apply.
