Cob: Time and cost?

Carla,
  this is just a caveat.  I read that it is not good to let your cob dry
too fast.  July is usually a very hot time as so is following August. 
Even if your in a humid place you should probably still keep direct
sunight off of the cob for an appropriate drying/curing period.  Please
look into this, before starting.
