People should note, that it must be a pure earthen vessel, or a fired
earth vessel which is porous and let water vapor through slowly, and not
waterproof ceramnics or waterproof painted ceramincs/clay pots.
Earthen, i.e., cob, wattle and daub structures do the same, by absorbing
humidity and evaporating it in the daytime. It levels out the humidity
inside the home, between day and night time values, just as the thermal
mass, helps keep rapid temperature swings from occurring.
