Cob: Funky windows idea

OK now don't all laugh at once, but a cobber friend said she saw a guy
take a real car door, and cob that into the wall so he could have a roll
down opening window...and car glass is strong, shatters into pebbles,
and so his choice, while funky, was clever.

Also there is a "house" in New Zealand, a dome shaped cob style that
took several auto windsheilds, and cobbed them in  longways ( on end)
like skylights, giving natural light from all directions into the
structure., again very strong glass, can resist a lot more than window
glass. He used 5- 6 of them  I think, and also used glass bottles around
other areas for colored light.
