Cob: Natural Building, Permaculture Apprenticeships Offered

Ahimsa Sanctuary in Philomath, Oregon is seeking skilled, enthusiastic
apprentices for short and long term placements.  

Excellent opportunities for learning in a variety of fields, including
natural building (cob, strawbale, etc), permaculture design, organic
gardening/farming, sustainable forestry, natural healing (nutrition,
emotional healing) and peacemaking/nonviolence education.

Apprentices will enjoy room & board, including awesome gourmet vegan
food from our sister project, Intaba's Kitchen, living in the middle of
25 acres of native coastal rainforest, plus hydrotherapy in Ahimsa's
wood-fired sauna and tub, and extensive alternative community resources
in Corvallis (First Alternative Coop, Environmental Center, Organic
Gardening Club, Yoga Center, African Drumming & Dance, etc.) A nominal
living expenses stipend will be provided, with opportunities for
further income.

Qualified applicants will demonstrate eagerness to work hard, openness
to learn, humor at mistakes, be drug/alcohol free, and (sorry) bring no
pets.  Young children may be OK!
