The Bay Area Friends of Gaviotas is hosting an afternoon of lively discussion.  We welcome you to come together for an afternoon of conversation and the free exchange of ideas.  The public is invited to this free event. 

 

The meeting format will be that of a conventional salon.  Starting with an overview presentation on Las Gaviotas and concepts surrounding sustainability and community, we will proceed to break into smaller groups to discuss the various subjects that come up.  A large poster board will be available for each group to write in what they want to talk about in their prospective corners, much like a map of the room.  We are inviting folks from many other groups in the bay area who are interested in community building and sustainability issues.

 

The venue is especially fitting for our event.  In addition to being a movie theater, the Parkway also doubles as a café & bar, where attendees can be fed and watered, or wined and dined, as the case may be.  Word has it the couches are quite comfortable.  

 

We are hoping to bring together those who have read Daniel Quinn's writings, those who are familiar with or curious about Las Gaviotas, as well as anyone and everyone who is interested in living sustainably.
