Yep, just too lazy to look for it this morning.

Patterns of Home: The Ten Essentials of Enduring Design.  Authors--Jacobsen, 
Silverstein, and Winslow.  The first two are listed as junior authors on 
Pattern Language.
As I said, the examples are NOT low-budget.

The lessons may well be for everyone.
