Ooops, I replied only to sender. like I said, I'm new, bear with me please! Following are my responses:

Thanks, to both of you! (and please keep the info coming) I love the idea of making a model and keeping it out. I've been thinking about this for years and have all sorts of ideas, but dh is just starting to realize what the possibilities may be. Something like that would help us get in alignment about what we want, and share ideas in an easy way! (btw, we do homeschool, or unschool, rather, and plan to continue).

I KNEW there would be local folks! I'll definitely let you know when we're
about to actively start work! And I may pick your brain a bit. I used to
shop at People's, but I live across town now, and I have seen the work, but
didn't participate :( I missed the convergence, too, though I heard about
it. (ah, the joys of sick small children.) It looks like a lot of little
projects have been going on. I noticed what looked like some neat cob work
around a garden on the corner of an intersection over around Belmont and
30th??? What is that place anyway, just someone's house? Or Mark's? I'd
love to get a chance to see the solarium. I've been wanting to build a
greenhouse, too, but it looks like the heating/cooling/ventilating costs
would be prohibitive at this point, as I don't know much about passive and
  other alternative systems (yet!).
