Hidare All,,, I have been playing around with the idea of water heat for years... And all systems that I have came up with, include an automatic drain. To do this as simple as possible, takes forethought and planning. Put in all pipes slanted down to one point.. Put in some kind of one way valve at the top of the system( to let air in the pipes). And fashion some kind of escapement machine to open the valve when the water temperature gets too cold. With this kind of a system in place you can have a wood fired water heater and not worry If you get snowed out of your house for a few days. ie, an all night Cribbage party at your neighbors in the next valley... Snowshoe,, anyone??? *hic**** )*?*( bill ----- Original Message ----- From: "Darel Henman" <henman at it.to-be.co.jp> To: "Yun Que" <yunk88 at hotmail.com> Cc: <coblist at deatech.com> Sent: Monday, February 03, 2003 2:11 AM Subject: Cob: thanks Darel pipes under floor Snipped**************** > If one uses water as the heat transport medium, care must be taken that > any water containing parts containing water not get frozen.
