<DIV>I am a metal building erector.  We also retrofit some old roofs with metal as well.  There were some questions about the oil on the sheets.  If you get your metal from a metal building manufacturer you will find that in colder climates , even in NC where I live, that the people who cut and run the sheets spray a light antifreeze on the sheets as they stack them.  It is not a harmless oil.  This keeps the sheets from sticking/freezing together prior to installation if the sheets are left in the weather which is what usually happens.  However you can request that the sheets be left dry.  Where we order our metal they manufacture it there, corrugate it and cut it to your length.  They don't put any oil on it.  Caution when ordering metal roofing, there are several different thicknesses and coatings.  When someone on here is talking about an enameled roof, I believe they mean that the metal is basically coated not enameled with porcelain or anything like that.  It is basically a polyester paint that is very tough and durable.  Anyone have other questions email me or post and I will help where i can as to fitting, cutting and attaching. </DIV></DIV></DIV></div><br clear=all><hr>The new <a href="http://g.msn.com/8HMSENUS/2737">MSN 8:</a> smart spam protection and 2 months FREE* </html>
