Hi I 'm in Florida too-
I've been trying to find out how to make the chickee hut roofs- the serious 
ones that last forever.  I've really enjoyed using the Sabal palm for other 
projects we've worked on here- out-door showers, racks for our fish smoker, 
etc.

I've looked around, but can't find any clear direction on how to do a really 
big roof for a hut or pavillion.

Any tips?
