Cob: RE: jist of an outdoor cob oven

I have made them using the following method:

First, make a foundation, about 2 ft by 2 ft by 2ft.  I used rocks with cob
mortar.  Then, level the top of that off, and build the oven on that.  I have
done dome or cylinder ovens using an old bucket as the form, and then layering
the cob on.  It is all in your ability to skulpt.
