Cats dying as prey. from Minn to Ga

What animal snatchs an cat and leaves nothing behind but a whimper??
And sumetimes a thump sound as something hits the ground.

First week three yr old cat was taken off at night. Second week 6 month old
kitten was taken. It really shook us up. There is panthers and cayote in ga
but not so far in atlanta suberbs where we are.

We are being runned over with deer, turkeys, owls etc.

No longer can we have gardens, fig trees or grape viens unless we are able to build a animal proof yard if there is such one.

At first early morning we saw deer only in fall then late morning and now from sun up to sun down almost all year.

Guess they figured out that our laws prevent us from killing them in the city. This is such a problem that is only going to be greater as time goes along. There has been two bad wrecks within one quarter mile of our home.

Had to put up deer scene to protect garden. It is about seven feet tall and is almost not seen from road except they give metal type plates that rattle in the wind.

There are panthers both Mt Lions that sounds like a woman crying but it they stay in the mountains.

And PUMA's which I have seen crossing the road 6ft long but not heard. This was 209 miles south of here. Do they eat CATS ????

I guess this is tied to the shootings and other things showing why we must have guns even if it just for takeing a lion off our kids etc.

Guess some alarm company will grid off our yards and tell us when it is safe to leave the house at night.

Radio station in twin cities minn even told of how they have the same problem.Animals have found it is safer to live in city and be protected by laws than in the wild. strange times. Guess next we will be put on trail if we dare kill an animal.
