Thanks, y'all.

I really do figure if, after you've studied and done all the homework, you 
should get what you want, but not upfront, and after you've at least thought 
about the costs.

Have I mentioned the builder I know, designed and built a house for a woman, 
fell in love with her, felt rather bitter about her reaction (friendly 
but....).  Friend of his explains that he built her a perfect house for ONE 
PERSON, not a house for two to share, and after the building chaos, finally 
moving into a house that suited her very very well, she wasn't about to 
move.

Perhaps she just meant that people wanting 2000 sq ft homes are trying to do 
it for $10K ...?
