a copper roof can last 250 years. metal is great!

they quoted my tiny bungalow (750sqft) at $10,000 for a metal roof. we got 
shingles.

my shed has a metal roof. i installed it myself. it cost less than $500.

it holds the rain out, but has some flaws - like using metal screws instead 
of wood
ones for the first half!! oops. most of the $10,000 in the quote above is 
for
workmanship. you can put a metal roof on your cob structure by yourself and 
it
will be affordable.

i wonder how copper would look on a round cob house?
