[Cob] rain water harvesting and purification systemAmanda Peck ap615 at hotmail.comFri Oct 31 20:49:42 CST 2003
that's about what I did, having looked long and hard at his site, and some other stuff. Not sure how it's going to stand up to frost, but.... It's in, with a way too small tank that I already had. A friend of mine loaned me a turn-of-the-LAST-century Canadian book on water for the homestead. Apparently what they were doing then, was using a hand pump to go from their cistern, well, or spring to a tank in the attic, which gave them flowing water, (if not enough to heat with a demand heater that hadn't been invented yet). And I think sometimes they would do the same with hot water, heated in the resevoir on the cookstove. I'd be happy with it, I think. Might want to have dual power--e.g., hand and 12 v, to send the water to the attic. ..........................
