[Cob] sources for Hydrated Limedirtcheapbuilder-Charmaine Taylor tms at northcoast.comTue Jan 11 23:24:18 CST 2005
try a horse or farm goods store... most towns have a feeds and supplies place for local horse owners/small farmsteads. . they will have hydrated lime... it will say so on the bag as High Calcium... or Dolomitic. Hydrated Lime... costing about $7-8. 50 lb sack. also ask for mason's lime some people think you want a cement with lime and sand premeixed in..you dont of course. some Home despots carry it, and our local small builders supplier has it. Our guy is called Hensell's. Building Materials .. yours may be Bob's supplies or some such. ( a serious-to-the-trades seller of brick, slate, sheetrock, roofing materilas, sand/rock by the yard...) Call a large local building contractor listed in phone books and ask where they get it. Call a gravel yard or sand/rock/ landscaping company.. Lastly Genlime is the regional supplier in Ohio.. look them up onsline and see who their distributor is... and track someone down. You may need to drive several hours unfortunately.
