[Cob] vermiculite, pumice, perlite suppliers?

Hi,

Since the rocket stove seems so integral to the cob
house these days I'm attempting to put one together. 
However, I'm running into a road block on suppliers. 
I've been looking all over town and don't seem to be
asking the right questions of the salespeople.  I did
manage to get a bag of pumice (called clinkers) from
the local brick (and lime)supplier.  However, the bag
was maybe 6 cubic inches and cost 15 dollars when
everything was said and done.  Considering how many
bags would go into a stove at 6 cubic inches that
becomes expensive!!

Does anyone have any experience or suggestions of what
I should be asking for - lots of offers of potting
quality vermiculite etc. for soil amendment.  Or has
anyone found a good online supplier?
