There are also companies which make and sell sheep's wool insulation
which has been washed, carded, treated for fire/bug resistance, and made
into bats to fit standard stud wall/ceiling cavities. Last I heard there
were only a couple companies doing this on a small scale in North America,
so it was somewhat expensive, in some other parts of the world it is done
on a mass production basis which should make it cheaper.
